Workspaces

The Workspaces window within the Settings tab of AutomatR Orchestrator application provides a list of all available workspaces, empowers users to manage and configure workspaces, users, and their roles. Users can add new workspaces, assign roles to users, and control user details. The window serves as a hub for managing workspace-specific configurations, ensures efficient organization and administration of workspaces, contributing to a well-structured AutomatR Orchestrator environment.

Add New Workspace

  • You can add a new workspace to the AutomatR Orchestrator by entering workspace name in the Add New Workspace section.

  • Click + button after entering the workspace name to add the new workspace.

Workspace List and Details

When a new workspace is added to the list which displays all the available workspaces. You can view more details by clicking on the newly added workspace:

User NameThe User Name column displays the names of users associated with the workspace.
EmailThe Email column presents the email addresses of the respective users.
Phone NumberThe Phone Number column showcases the contact numbers of the users.
Role(s)The Role(s) column highlights the roles assigned to each user within the workspace.
ActionsThe Actions column provides the following options for each user entry:
  • Edit: The Edit option allows users to modify user details or roles.
  • Delete: The Delete option enables users to remove user entries from the workspace.

Add User to Workspace

You can click on the + button from the Workspace Users Manager section to add a new user to the workspace. This process involves the following steps:

  1. Enter User Email: Users need to provide the email address of the new user to be added.

  2. Select Role(s): Users select role(s) for the new user from the drop-down list. The roles available are Admin and Workspace Manager. For more details refer User Roles section.

  3. Click the Add button to add the new user to the system.

  4. You can view the newly added user in the Workspace Users Manager table list.


User Roles

Within the AutomatR Orchestrator application, user roles define the level of access, permissions, and responsibilities that users have in managing and interacting with the platform. The Admin and Workspace Manager roles within the AutomatR Orchestrator application have distinct responsibilities and privileges. The Admin role holds the highest level of platform-wide control, whereas the Workspace Manager role focuses on managing a specific workspace. These roles enable effective management, configuration, and governance of the AutomatR Orchestrator environment, catering to different levels of administrative authority and operational needs.

AdminWorkspace Manager
Description
  • The Admin role is the highest level of authority within the AutomatR Orchestrator environment.
  • Admins have complete control over all aspects of the platform, including configurations, users, workspaces, automation processes, and settings.
  • The Workspace Manager role is focused on the management of a specific workspace within the AutomatR Orchestrator environment.
Responsibilities and Privileges
  • Global Administration: Admins can configure global settings, system preferences, and platform-wide configurations.
  • User Management: They can create, edit, and delete users across all workspaces.
  • Workspace Management: Admins can create, manage, and configure multiple workspaces, assigning users and roles.
  • Security and Permissions: They can set permissions, access controls, and security policies.
  • Automation Processes: Admins have full access to automate processes, flows, and tasks.
  • Settings and Configurations: Admins have authority over all platform settings, including API keys, app tokens, and more.
  • Advanced Functions: Admins can perform advanced tasks like managing licenses, integration with other systems, and orchestrating complex workflows.
  • Workspace-Level Administration: Workspace Managers have authority over the settings and configurations specific to their assigned workspace.
  • User Management: They can create, edit, and delete users within their workspace.
  • Automation Processes: Workspace Managers can manage automation processes, flows, and tasks within their workspace.
  • Queue Management: They can configure queues, manage queue items, and assign tasks to users.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Workspace Managers can monitor the execution of tasks and processes within their workspace.
  • Some Settings and Configurations: Depending on the AutomatR Orchestrator version and setup, they may have access to certain settings and configurations relevant to their workspace.
